The Race is not physical, its mental. I ran 2200 miles in ten months before Seoul. Mentally I ran 100 times that distance. The fastest man does not always win.

How can a slower runner go "Undefeated" for two years?
Perception is more powerful than reality. You may have heard this before stated as, "Power of Positive Thinking".

This is how "Average People Do Amazing Things".

I was not the stongest or the fastest, but I won every race for two years. How is that possible? Good question, but you should ask another question first. Why was I "running the race".

Ok, you may not be running or even competing, but there is a goal, a dream, a mission, a vision. Every achievement in life begins with "why". Even if you cannot articulate the "why" you are being compelled to pursue it.

Average People Can Do Amazing Things but they often fall prey to the circumstances that defeats most people. It does not require a tremendous effort to get past this point. In fact I am average most of the time just like you.

Now can you see why I believe that Average People Can Do Amazing Things. All you have to do is focus on your "why". Remember why, and you will be compelled. Remember why, and something amazing will happen. Why are you compelled?

What unclaimed treasure, what gift, what blessing is waiting for you and your life? Open your eyes, have vision and imagination. Then the rewards you have struggled to attain will be heaped upon you in abundance.
